Mölnlycke Health Care
Spreading the word about science and healthcare
"Koll eller noll koll" ("Cruise or control") was the theme of this year's International Science Festival (Vetenskapsfestivalen) in Gothenburg.
Thanks to cross-functional collaboration and contributions, Mölnlycke Health Care was a proud official supporter of this year’s festival, which attracts around 70,000 people and is one of Europe's leading popular science events.
Mölnlycke Health Care took the opportunity to engage with the local community – to discuss the impact we have as a company, to talk about the products we deliver and to explain the benefit we bring to patients around the world.
"This type of event increases our visibility and reputation in the community and gives us the chance to hear, first hand, what the public knows and thinks about Mölnlycke Heath Care as a company," explains Jamie Smith, Corporate Communications. "We noted that although the majority of people we spoke to had heard the name Mölnlycke Health Care, many thought we made diapers, toilet paper or hygiene products. Our participation in the festival helped to set this straight and to explain how our company is making a meaningful difference in patients' lives."
Linking to the festival's theme (cruise or control), Ann-Kathrin Halvorsen (Corporate Communications), Magnus Enerbäck (Wound Care) and Kerstin Ansehn (Surgical) gave an insightful and hands-on demonstration of how we are contributing to improve infection control in the operating room and pain control to accelerate wound care healing.
